Unipotent factorization of vector bundle automorphisms

چکیده

We provide unipotent factorizations of vector bundle automorphisms real and complex bundles over finite dimensional locally CW-complexes. This generalizes work Thurston–Vaserstein Vaserstein for trivial bundles. also address two symplectic cases propose a geometric analog the problem in setting holomorphic Stein manifolds.

Unipotent and Nakayama automorphisms of quantum nilpotent algebras

Automorphisms of algebras R from a very large axiomatic class of quantum nilpotent algebras are studied using techniques from noncommutative unique factorization domains and quantum cluster algebras. First, the Nakayama automorphism of R (associated to its structure as a twisted Calabi-Yau algebra) is determined and shown to be given by conjugation by a normal element, namely, the product of th...

On Automorphisms of Arithmetic Subgroups of Unipotent Groups in Positive Characteristic

1.1. Definition. It is traditional to say that a group Γ virtually has a property if some finite-index subgroup of Γ has the property. It is convenient to extend this terminology to group isomorphisms. • A virtual isomorphism from G1 to G2 is an isomorphism Λ: G ′ 1 → G ′ 2, where G ′ i is a finite-index, open subgroup of Gi. • A virtual automorphism of G is a virtual isomorphism from G to G. •...

The C*-algebra of a Vector Bundle

We prove that the Cuntz-Pimsner algebra OE of a vector bundle E of rank ≥ 2 over a compact metrizable space X is determined up to an isomorphism of C(X)algebras by the ideal (1 − [E])K(X) of the K-theory ring K(X). Moreover, if E and F are vector bundles of rank ≥ 2, then a unital embedding of C(X)-algebras OE ⊂ OF exists if and only if 1 − [E] is divisible by 1 − [F ] in the ring K(X). We intr...

On Parallel Sections of a Vector Bundle

We consider when a smooth vector bundle endowed with a connection possesses non-trivial, local parallel sections. This is accomplished by means of a derived flag of subsets of the bundle. The procedure is algebraic and rests upon the Frobenius Theorem.
